Although many women consider that they should first get married and then get pregnant, as society insists on, let’s face it: we’re not living ancient times when you could not show your face at the altar if you had a baby in the bum. Nowadays, women happen to think about their wedding dress after they underwent their first Eco-sound and listed their first top three favorite baby names. Finding the perfect bridal gown, with the perfect accessories and shoes is a quest many future-to-be-brides embark with a lot of emotions and expectations. It’s really hard to find the dress that will become the mark of your most beautiful day in your life, maybe similarly harder than it is for men to find their loved ones the perfect engagement ring. And if designers and fashion houses figured all out in terms of wedding apparel, it’s no less true that there are designer pregnant wedding dress models which are not meant only to hide a belly, but can be real fashion statements.
Nobody says that if you’re pregnant you can’t deserve to look absolutely gorgeous, as hiding under a pile of non-attractive, large and indefinite pile of cloth layers is not something you’d be happy with. So if you’re having a child soon to be born and if you’re getting ready for your big wedding ceremony, let’s go out shopping and find you the best pregnant wedding dress out there!
1. Strapless from Tina Mak
This fashion house is famous for its bridal wedding gowns and you can choose among very beautiful models, all made in the best quality materials. The Elissa for example is a silk chiffon gown with a very well concealed zipper, a sash that you can opt for, a princess seam, also in the back and an overall look that will make you feel indeed like a princess. Tina Mak has a soft spot for sashes, so you can also choose a dress with a colored sash that can put some emphasize on your waist. The Elissa model is more suitable for a more advanced pregnancy, but if you want a strapless classic dress, you have an entire catalog to choose from, especially if you want to show off the beauty of your neck and shoulders.

Well, he should think this all the time, but add a lace white pregnant wedding dress and you’ll have the magic you both wish for. Tiffany Rose’s White Orchid, a model recommended by Marie Claire Magazine, has everything you need in terms of charm, comfort, looks and fashion. 5. Midi skirt from Mama Bridal
Mini or midi wedding dresses have been in fashion for as long as we can remember, and, even if you won’t probably be able to wear the famous Guns’n’Roses November Rain video clip dress while pregnant, but this doesn’t mean you should go directly for an ankle-long pregnant wedding dress just because you’re pregnant. Marie Claire Magazine recommends women to think about midi dresses, which might advantage them more, as they balance women’s figures in a stylish way. Mama Bridal offers a wide range of maternity wedding gowns, with its Ella dress (medium long, comfortable, with a hidden stretch panel well hidden in the back) being considered one of the most popular choices.
6. Sparkling necklines from David’s Bridal
Some women prefer very simple wedding dresses, while others love some bling attached to their gowns. Fashion designers with a reputation won’t adorn a dress with all the bling possible, as the final result might turn out ridiculous, but those who have taste and beauty on their minds, add a little bit of sparkle to their creations. And a sparkling bride, both physically and metaphorically, is something to never be forgotten. David’s Bridal offers some pretty interesting gowns to the customers, but the sparkling neckline for pregnant brides takes the cake. This jersey white dress, simple and majestic, with a fine decorated neckline will tell the world exactly what is needed: that you’re a priceless gem.

8. Casual look from Isabella Oliver
You’re not into big glam weddings, not traditional ones and not even the simplest “let’s gather some family and friends and get it over with, I’m pregnant” type. You are, perhaps, the beach bride or the wedding in the open type, as you felt comfortable in a long, light dress and flip-flops before getting pregnant, while now you’re even a bigger fan of the casual look. No matter if you plan your wedding on a beach or a flower pasture, choosing a dress for this specific occasion might be easier than you thought. It’s no news shoe designers are already considering the rise of the elegant flip – flops as bridal apparel, why not dressing elegant and fit to the occasion? This Isabella Oliver halterneck dress is specially designed for brides who want to keep things light, fun and low – key.

10. Color statement from Crave
As you probably know, white is no longer the color of choice when it comes to wedding dresses, and why should your pregnant wedding dress be so in the box? After all, you already broke tradition, why not go all the way and make a fashion statement? You can wear gold or ivory, pink, blue and whatever color or nuance you’re fond of. When it comes to being surprising, English fashion is a good candidate for “out of the box” couture. An evening dress from Crave might end up as your most favorite wedding gown and for good reason: not only it doesn’t hide anything, but it emphasizes your pregnancy with the silk material softly but evidently skimming over your belly, while the asymmetric composition and the pleated top represent fashion – forward acts, for brides with attitude.

I was pregnant on my wedding day and my dress fit so poorly. All of our wedding photos were taken from the chest up as I looked so bad! It was a wonderful wedding and our baby came two weeks later! 🙂

Finally! Something for the pregnant brides out there. I always wondered what they wore because there are a lot of times when the wedding comes up a little more quickly when a baby is on the way.
