31. Jen and Barb Mom Life
The Story:
For the second time in our Top 50 Mommy blogs we have a duo made up of two outstanding women: Jennifer Pate and Barbara Machen. At the moment they are both involved with the Mom Life show, but they also spend their free time writing for Jen and Barb Mom Life. Jen’s story began in Highland Park, IL (a suburb of Chicago). During her “former” life-time she was a dancer, a casting director for TV and Film, and a college student. At the moment, she is the mother of two beautiful children: Copper, and Lilah , and wife to Jonas, a writer and director for TV and film.
LIFE MOTTO:
As a woman I navigate my way through life while working to maintain happiness, good health and hope. I say this because many of us tend to define ourselves based on our job, age, marital status, how many kids we have, etc.
Barbara Machen is also a successful and extremely attractive 46year old woman. She is the proud parent of two twin daughters with unusual names: India and Soraya. Despite her childhood problems (she was raised by a single mom), she managed to make her dreams come true. She owned her first Marketing Company at the age of 25. Until she had her twins, everything seemed great, but soon after, her world fell apart. From the optimistic, strong-willed woman, she changed into an unsure and scared mother. It was only with the help of her friends that she managed to pull herself together. For both Barbara and Jen, it is important to have someone around during important moments.
No woman venturing into motherhood should have to “go it alone.” There should be a community that offers support without judgment, insight into this new world and a lot of laughter…
And that is how Mom Life was born!

32. The Bump
From the creators of The Knot and The Nest, The Bump is the perfect place for first-time parents who need help in regards to pregancy, babies, fertility and birth. Granted, it is not owned by some super-mommy, but this doesn’t mean that it isn’t a valuable resource for newbie mothers.
“At The Bump, we aim to connect new parents and parents-to-be, as well as offer them personalized advice using a wide variety of user-generated content and up-to-date community features, including blogs, local deals, checklists, personal profiles, photo galleries, topic-based message boards, and more…“ (Source: The Bump About Page)
There is really nothing more to say. You will have to explore for yourself. You can even share your birth experience with other mommies, connect with women around the world, and learn everything there is to know about parenting.

33. Resourceful Mommy
The Story:
Amy Lupold Bair is another mother who proves that career and parenting CAN work. She has successfully pursued the career of a blogger and social media marketer, and founded Resourceful Mommy Media. Amy is also the inventor of the Twitter Party hashtag (a hashtagged social event with panelists and a conversational theme). Her goal is to provide great parenting advice and frugality tips for mommies all over the world. Before she started her personal blog she learned the ropes of blogging, and social networking, and this is why Resourceful Mommy has become such a successful blog, with loyal readership.
The personal blog of Resourceful Mommy Media founder Amy Lupold Bair, Resourceful Mommy brings readers everything from great parenting advice to resourceful ways to frugally decorate your home to exciting contests.
The Blog:
The website is divided in relevant categories. There is the main Resourceful category where you can find living, parenting, Disney, reviews and blogging advice. I would definitely keep an eye out for the reviews and parenting categories, because they also include personal advice that only an experience mother could provide. Then we have the Resourceful Me category where you can learn more about Amy’s family, the Give-aways category for excellent deals, and the Twitter Party Calendar. The vast majority of her posts are extremely helpful. Her writing style is fresh and easy to understand, and, well, fun.

34. Mommy PR
The Story:
Three women with backgrounds in marketing, management, sales and social media have united to create a useful resource for all the mothers out there. Their goal is to help bloggers and companies connect, to share their recipes, ideas, and, well, speak their mind. Let’s learn a little bit about each of them.
-
Angela is the director, owner and founder of Mommy PR. She is also a mom, wife and military spouse with a background in Marketing and Social Networking. She focuses on the reviews and giveaways topics, especially because she is slightly addicted to Couponing & Instagram (so you can be sure that she will provide you with the best deals).
-
Dawn is the assistant manager of Mommy PR, a happily married work-at-home-mother of two girls. She really seems to me like some sort of super mom because she somehow manages to manage an office job in the mental health industry, work on Mommy PR and take care of her girls.
-
Andrea is the manager of Mommy PR and a full time mommy for two boys and wife to a wonderful man. She also has two kitties. Andrea works as a physical therapist at a Trauma Hospital.
The Blog:
Everything you need to know to become a super-mommy can be found on Mommy PR! I particularly enjoy the recipes on the Mega Byte category, but the posts from Journey to Wellness are also awesome. Other categories include Contests, Coupons, Free&Cheap, the Reading Room, Travel and Reviews. You should definitely explore the categories that might interest you. There is also a writer, Megan, who focuses on the reviews category. She may not have any kids, but she does have a nack for good deals.

35. The Divine Miss Mommy
The Story:
Stacie Haight Connerty loves bizarre (usually fitting) nicknames. To her surprise, all the members of her family had at least one, but she had none. This is when her four year old daugher (back then) came up with the nick-name Divine Miss Mommy. This became the name of her mommy blog. Stacie is the mother of three energetic kids: Huntley, Annabella, and Laurel. Her husband, Hason, is a great father and support for her. Stacie loves being worshiped, but she also wants to live up to her name. This is why she struggles every day to prove to her children that she is indeed worthy of the pedestal that they have put her on. As far as career is concerned, Stacie is a nationally published writer/author and editor for several magazines. She is also a contributor at ShePosts, and the achievements don’t stop here. You can read more about her career here.
The Blog:
As you would expect of a nationally published writer, Stacie has her way with words. I find her amusing and enjoyable, and most of the articles I have read have been very helpful to me (just because I don’t have kids doesn’t mean I can’t indulge in DIY projects or dream about traveling to Disney!). The blog categories are: Reviews&GiveAways, On My Mind, Home&Lifestyle (includes DIY project ideas), Travel +Leisure (with a lot of information about Disney) and Technology. There are also some great tricks for mommies who are working hard to preserve their good looks in the Style category.

36. Mommy Adventures
The Story:
Hi, my name is Sheri, and this blog is mostly about the embarrassing moments of me, my husband Aaron, our cheeky daughter Hannah, and rambunctious son Daniel. We live in the Sydney area of Australia in a little 2 bedroom apartment.
This is how Sheri’s About page starts. What she forgot to mention is that she is not only a mommy, but a gorgeous one. She came to Australia when she was 17 years old to study, but after meeting Aaron she decided to spend the rest of her life in Sidney. After months of paper-work and issues she finally got her citizenship. She now lives happily with both her kids and her husband. Apparently, both of her children are touch cookies: Hannah bit her father’s nose right after entering the world, and Daniel seems to have taken a liking to pulling his sister’s hair (he also likes to play dress up). Either way, they are two adorable little angels.
The Blog:
To be completely honest, I am not the biggest fan of the design of Mommy Adventures, but this matters not, it is probably the look that she had in mind. The most important thing is the fact that I really enjoy Sheri’s posts. I particularly enjoyed the Learn How to Drive and You Peed on What? Posts. Sheri has a funny way of writing, and most of per posts make me smile (if not laugh). The vast majority are focused on family life and personal experience. The drawings which accompany certain posts are also quite adorable. (still wondering if her little ones made them)

37. The Bee Hive Buzz
The Story:
The Bee Hive Buzz came into being thanks to Maegan’s desire to express herself. She may be new to the mommy business, but she is a natural talent when it comes to writing. She is a 2x college graduate (Animal Ecologist and Entomologist), a stay-at-home-mom, a gardener and a handy-woman. I recommend this blog to all first-time mommies with toddlers, because they can experience motherhood together with Maegan, and hopefully connect with other mommies in the mean-time. Maegan is the mother of Emma Bee, a precious little girl, who came into the world in March 2013. There are two reasons why she decided to open her own blog: first of all she wanted a place to share her discoveries, secondly, she wanted to arrange her information and projects. Maegan’s desire is to connect with other mothers, and share valuable information with them.
I hope you’ll take the time to peek into our busy buzzing world. Maybe you’ll learn something new or have something new to teach us too!
The Blog:
Maegan’s mommy adventures are very interesting, but the give-aways and deals are truly exciting. This intrepid mommy has also written several helpful reviews that were conveniently organized into a list. Also, I would like to say that I really enjoy the overall design of the blog – simple, classy and easy to navigate.

38. The Photographer’s Wife
The Story:
The photographer is Brett, the wife is Lynn. Together they are the parents of a beautiful baby boy: Trent. He came into the world in June 2012, and since then he has become Brett’s favorite photography subject (see the Baby in a Pumpkin photo) . Other members of the family include Orion, the yellow Labrador, and Nugget, the cheeky cat. Together they form one of the cutest families I have ever seen online (I am a total sucker for Trent). Oh, and they love going to Disney.
The Blog:
The Photographer’s wife combines a little bit of everything, but they mainly focus on family life. They usually share special events, and celebrations with their readership. As you can probably predict, the images are splendid. You can also take a look at Trent’s pictures growing up, because they took photos of him every month. On his first year anniversary he devours a giant-sized muffin. The Food category is teeming with delicious recipes, accompanied by great photos and step-by-step tricks, which you can easily make. Last but not least, there is a Travel category (which pays special attention to Disney Trips) and the Reviews Category that each mother should check out.

39. Oh My Stars
The Story:
Oh My Stars is a wonderful family blog, where Annie and her husband post photos of their beautiful (gorgeous to be more exact) angels. They do not present a perfect life filled only with happy moments. Annie shows us the ups and downs of parenthood. Her children: Adeline Brett, Eliza June and their latest addition, Silas Augusten, are precious. Annie has had her fair share of problems (she is suffering from POTS), but she still manages to go through life with an optimistic smile on her face. The name of their blog was inspired from their appreciation of life’s beauty, for which they are thanking their lucky stars.
Stay at home mama, wife & business owner with two precocious little girls. Homeschooling, enduring chronic illness and lots of chaos & thanking my stars for these blessings!
The Blog:
As far as the blog goes, it includes a little bit of rambling, and many, many breathtakingly beautiful photos. Most of these photos (see the one above) look as if they were taken out of the magazine. Annie is a gorgeous woman, her husband is a babe, and the children are very cute. If you want to learn a little bit more about the family, or simply enjoy the art of family photography, you should definitely linger on Oh My Stars. You can also take a look at their Paint the Moon Photoshop actions and textures if you want to bring life to your photography.

40. Foster Ducklings
The Story:
To be honest, it took me a while to understand what exactly is going on on this blog (actually, in this family). I was enthralled by Duck Mommy’s writing style, but even after reading the Duck Family Timeline, and the Welcome to the Circus post and several other posts I couldn’t quite get it. I couldn’t understand why Lady Bug was going to be taken away from the family considering that they were taking such good care of her. And then I saw the light.
fos·ter = Providing parental care and nurture to children not related through legal or blood ties
What these wonderful human beings are doing is providing babies with a temporary home. I have the utmost respect for them, especially knowing how much the Mommy and Daddy Duck are suffering for “their” ducklings. They want them to be reunited with their families and live a happy and fulfilling life. Momma duck is an infertility survivor who struggled very hard to have children. In 2006 she gave up on the idea, but somewhere around 2011 she decided she actually wants to be a mom. Since then she has been working together with her husband in order to foster children.
The Blog:
Mommy Duck has a truly unique writing style. She has a special sense of humor, but I sense a lot of sadness in her “voice”. She treats these children as her own, and is always sad to see them go. Foster Ducklings is mostly a journal that recounts the happenings of the ducklings. Each duckling has its own category, and I urge you to read their stories from start to finish. I have learned many things from this blog.
